Have you wanted to try quilting, but feel too intimidated to start? Do all of the patterns, fabric options, cutting appliances, and seam allowances make you feel overwhelmed? This is your chance to learn the basics in a fun, friendly, pressure-free environment. Join Dee Bushrod, quilter of 20+ years and passionate pixel quilt enthusiast, for a creative weekend at the rainbow-filled Whatever Craft House. Dee will guide you step-by-step through the essential foundations of quilting in a relaxed and supportive environment. During the retreat you will: ✨ Learn quilting basics, including how to sew an accurate ¼" seam allowance ✨ Practice cutting, piecing, and assembling quilt blocks ✨ Gain confidence using your sewing machine for quilting ✨ Enjoy plenty of sewing time with guidance whenever you need it ✨ Connect with other beginners in a creative, encouraging space By the end of the weekend, you’ll leave with your first quilt and the confidence to tackle future quilt projects. No quilting experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and get ready to stitch something beautiful! 🌈🧵 *Participants will be provided with a supply list and encouraged to choose fabrics to suit their taste & decor.
